HOW TO KNOW JESUS
Do want to know what it means to be saved and have a relationship with Jesus Christ?
Just know that no matter what all you accomplish in this life, it will be for nothing if you never make the choice to know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. If you have yet to make the decision, here is some scripture for you to consider.
Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
This verse explains that everyone has sinned and falls short of God’s perfect standard.
Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The penalty of our sin results in death, but God offers eternal life through Jesus Christ as a free gift for us. Jesus Christ lived the perfect sinless life. He is our only hope of salvation.
Romans 5:8 – “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
At our worst and through God’s love, Jesus willingly died on the cross and took on God’s wrath and paid the debt of our sin.
Romans 10:9-10 – “Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and
is saved.”
Salvation comes through repentance – confessing our sin, turning from sin and turning towards Jesus as our Lord and believing in His resurrection.
Romans 10:13 – “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
That’s you. No matter what you have done. He gives you the chance to turn and trust in Him.
Romans 8:1 – “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Romans 5:1 – “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
We have the promise in scripture that those who turn and trust Christ are no longer under condemnation of our sin and get to experience true peace with God through relationship with Jesus Christ.
Prayer: “God, forgive me of my sin. I acknowledge that I fall short of your glory. I acknowledge that my sin is deserving of death and eternal separation from You. I also acknowledge that I can never be good enough on my own and that you made a way through Jesus Christ. You died on the cross for my sin and was resurrected on the third day. You paid my debt and right now You are calling me to experience the tremendous peace that you offer through your Son, Jesus. Cover me in His righteousness. Make me a new creation. I choose Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I choose to follow You in my life. I am trusting my life fully in Your hands as Your child and servant. Thank you for sharing your amazing love and eternal favor! Amen
